Kimberly Anderson
President

Kimberly at the age of 12, began her music career playing the cello. As a young cellist, for 6 years she was a member of the Louisville Youth Orchestra! Kimberly, also a very gifted singer, performed several Musical roles while in High School, then she used her multi talents to attend Eastern Kentucky University and University of Louisville on full scholarship. Kimberly has performed nationally and internationally singing with the Kentucky Opera, American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, the American Spiritual Ensemble and University of Nevada Las Vegas Wind Symphony in the South of France as vocal soloist and cellist to name a few. Mrs. Anderson has also performed locally with the Henderson Symphony of Nevada where she served as principal Cellist, Vocal soloist, and interim conductor. She also serves as a freelance Artist with a number of organizations in the region. Kimberly has been teaching strings and directing/conducting Orchestra for over 33 years. She is presently teaching in the Clark County Public School System in Las Vegas and taught for nine years in the Jefferson County Public School System in Louisville, KY. Throughout her teaching career she has had the privilege of conducting major Orchestral works with Full orchestras, Chamber orchestras, Operas, Oratorios and Musicals. Kimberly presently is an administrative staff member for the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. She has held this position for over Fifteen years. This program is one of the oldest existing young artist programs in the world! She also proudly serves as President of the board for the Gold Coast Youth Orchestra.

Cari Ramos
Secretary, Founding Board Member

Cari Ramos, R.N., has dedicated nearly a decade of her professional life to serving the nursing community, making a profound impact in various healthcare settings. With a background in information technology, Cari seamlessly transitioned into the realm of healthcare and currently thrives in the field of Telehealth. Despite not being a musician herself, she possesses an unwavering passion for music and is a staunch supporter of the arts. When the opportunity arose to help establish a local youth orchestra, Cari recognized that her unique skill set would be a valuable contribution to the organization’s success. Beyond her role in enhancing the GCYO online presence, she lends her expertise to backend projects and event coordination. Cari looks forward to her ongoing involvement in nurturing the growth and fostering the excellence of GCYO. Through her unwavering commitment, Cari aspires to make a lasting impact on the organization, empowering young musicians and enriching the artistic landscape within her community. With her diverse experiences and remarkable contributions, Cari is poised to play a vital role in the ongoing success and development of GCYO, leaving a lasting legacy of support and inspiration for aspiring musicians.

Tricia Earles
Board Member

Tricia holds degrees in Journalism, English, and Psychology, and boasts fifteen years of experience as a seasoned personal finance specialist. With a deep passion for assisting individuals on their path to financial freedom, she finds genuine joy in her work. Music has been a lifelong love for Tricia, evident through her creation of a music magazine. Driven by her affection of the art and a desire to support aspiring young musicians, she became a valuable Gold Coast Youth Orchestra board member. Leveraging her marketing acumen, organizational skills, and financial expertise, Tricia actively contributes to the growth of GCYO by assisting with marketing efforts, concert planning, and financial management. She firmly believes that the discipline and dedication required to learn music provide young individuals with invaluable skills that will positively impact their lives.

Anastasia Del Mar
Board Member

Anastasia joined the Gold Coast Youth Orchestra Board of Directors in 2023 to inspire the youth of the Gold Coast community in discovering the enchantment of classical music. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, she began violin lessons at the age of 6 and played with the Louisville Youth Orchestra in the 5th grade. Throughout high school, she continued her musical journey with the orchestra, fostering a lifelong love for classical music and the performing arts, even though she didn’t pursue a career in music. Anastasia holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Philosophy and Psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. With her passion for supporting community-driven initiatives, she brings valuable fundraising experience to help the Gold Coast Youth Orchestra thrive and contribute to the vibrant lives of the residents South Florida.

Timothy S. Byrns
Executive Director, Founding Board Member

Timothy S. Byrns has been a staple of the professional classical music community in South Florida for
more than 3 decades. Mr. Byrns hails from Louisville, Kentucky where his love of music began very early,
thanks to the youth string programs at the internationally recognized Youth Performing Arts School and
the Louisville Youth Orchestra. Inspired by classical music, he grew to love the cello and then continued
his study of music pedagogy and cello performance at Eastern Kentucky University as a Music
Education/Performance Major.
He then relocated to South Florida, attending the New World School of the Arts where he studied
chamber music with the Miami String Quartet and Maestro Felix Galimer. Mr. Byrns served as a member
and Principal Cellist with the Symphony of the Americas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for nearly two
decades. He has also served as Assistant Principal Cello for the Palm Beach Pops. Most recently he was a
member of the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra in Naples, Florida.
Internationally Mr. Byrns has performed and recorded as soloist and guest Principal Cellist with the
Budapest Chamber Orchestra, the Czech Virtuosi Orchestra, and the world-renowned Hungarian
Virtuosi. He also performed as solo cellist on an extensive European tour of the Broadway production of
“West Side Story”. As a founding member of the Arcangelo Piano Quartet, he was instrumental in their
Ensemble-in-Residence position with the Florida Youth Conservatory as well as tour development which
led throughout Florida, Central America, and Asia. Mr. Byrns has served as a music consultant for the
Broward County Florida School Board for Strings and Chamber Orchestra and has been an International
Music Consultant for the Community Music Center in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
He is enormously proud of his most recent musical milestone, co-founding the Gold Coast Youth

Orchestra, where he is able to bring his broad experience in classical music, and his passion for it, to
these talented young musicians, in hopes of inspiring them the way he was inspired during his youth.
